Bilingual Regional Director

Our client has recently opened their Riyadh office, and the Regional Director (fluent Arabic) will be responsible for the overall operational management of the office. This role requires a strong business development background and a deep understanding of the branding sector and KSA. You will play a critical role in driving the agency's growth, maintaining its reputation, and ensuring the successful execution of their business strategy in the Kingdom. Proven experience in a leadership role within a branding or communications agency or a similar environment is essential. You will be the first person to join the Riyadh office, and you will be responsible for hiring the new team of talented individuals. Description:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Riyadh office, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and alignment with Head of Operations
- Implement and monitor office policies and procedures to maintain high standards of performance and client satisfaction
- Manage the office budget, financial planning, and resource allocation
- Develop and execute a robust business development strategy aimed at expanding the client base in KSA, leveraging our client’s reputation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, with a focus on the core agency experience and new sectors (with a focus on Government contracts)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to enhance our client’s market presence.
- Attend key industry events to promote our client in KSA
- Meet or exceed annual revenue targets as set by the Partners and Board
- Collaborate with the Partners and Board to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the long-term goals in KSA.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Riyadh office team
- Work with the global reputation manager to enhance their reputation in the Kingdom, including thought leadership and PR
- Regularly report to the Partners and Board on the office’s performance, including financial results, business development progress, and operational efficiency
- Provide updates on market conditions, client feedback, and potential risks or challenges
- Participate in business development meetings to align the Riyadh office’s goals with broader company objectives
- Become the absolute knowledge leader for KSA, collaborating closely with the Dubai team members
Criteria:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a branding or communications agency or a similar environment, preferably within the Middle East
- Strong track record in business development with profound financial acumen and the ability to drive significant revenue growth
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Strong Business Development background within the sector
- The ability to work within tight deadlines
