Our client is seeking a Legal Associate with 3 to 5 years’ experience in PQE arbitration and litigation. To apply for this role, you must be a qualified solicitor. Description:

  • Provide legal advice to clients on litigation and dispute resolution relating to commercial litigation, contract disputes, property, employment, insurance, finance, and regulatory law matters along with domestic and international arbitration
  • Represent clients before DIFC courts and the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre regarding dispute matters
  • Assist clients in respect of onshore matters and managing local counsel
  • Provide legal advice, support and guidance related to Small Claims Tribunal of the DIFC Courts
  • Provide legal support for clients from a variety of commercial industries related to cross-jurisdictional disputes
  • Handle both transactional and advisory aspects of litigation matters, arbitration and mediation
  • Review and process dispute claims in accordance with network operating regulations and internal service delivery time frame
  • Draft, review and amend materials and documents such as pleadings, witness statements, agreements, contracts and correspondence
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships
  • Active participation in marketing initiatives, presentations, DIFC lectures etc

Criteria:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in PQE arbitration and litigation
  • DIFC experience would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Must be a qualified solicitor
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant laws, procedures, and case law
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Client-focused with a commitment to excellent service delivery
  • Proficient in using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Must currently reside in the UAE
